Created for the Supreme Court in 2024, this sculpture presents a culturally rooted reinterpretation of Lady Justice. Instead of the traditional blindfold, the figure’s eyes remain open—symbolizing clarity, awareness, and the ability to judge with both wisdom and compassion.
Draped in an elegant Indian saree, she also wears traditional jewellery on her neck, head, and ears, reflecting the dignity and cultural identity of Indian womanhood. In one hand, she holds a book symbolizing law, knowledge, and constitutional authority. In the other hand, she carries the weighing scale, representing balance, fairness, and the responsibility of making just decisions.
